Fund of Funds – Analyst

A leading Real Estate focused Fund of Funds group is currently in search of a Japanese speaking real estate investment Analyst to join their team in HK. As part of a niche investment group focusing sole on real estate funds across the region, this position offers a broad array of strategic real estate investment perspectives, including non listed vehicles across Asia. This is an opportunity to work with a small team in an entrepreneurial environment.

The successful candidates will actively participate in a mix investment of private fund, join venture and co-investments. Responsibilities will include:

• Conduct qualitative due diligence
• Summaries key investment insights and conclusions from meetings with hedge fund managers
• Evaluate and monitor underlying hedge fund managers’ investment and non-investment risk
• Build models to conduct quantitative analyses on underlying hedge fund investments
• Monitor news on industry and underlying hedge fund managers’ positions
• Attend industry conferences to identify talented hedge fund managers
• Update and maintain database of hedge fund managers and indices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and a basic understanding of finance, capital markets, hedge funds and fund of hedge funds
• At least 4+ years experience in investment finance or real estate investment.
• Strong communication skills required, both oral and written
• Excellent computer skills required; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Fluent English and Japanese
• CFA qualification is highly desired
