About our client
Our client is a very well known Zurich based "Private Family Office" Wealth Manager. Client interests are managed via a top level fund which asset allocates into a combination of internally and externally managed Fund of Funds, Private Equity, Fund of Private Equity and co-mingled listed and OTC instruments.

Job description
This new role will report to the IT manager and will have a wide remit supporting and delivering the full spectrum of investment management systems and projects.
The role will encompass the following duties :

  • Project Management
  • Technical application architecture
  • Analysis (System, Process)
  • Application Support

    Role Responsibilities:
  • Business analysis (write up of business requirements) as required by projects.
  • Liaison with users on daily support and application configuration requests. This will include both hands on application and data support.
  • Resolution of any intra-day and overnight data load issues. An understanding of data transformation and scripting desirable.
  • Prioritisation of user project requests, cost and time analysis and project management to completion. This may be directly or via external or vendor resources.
  • Liaison with vendors on product issues, upgrades and enhancements
  • Liaison with external backoffice and custodians on data issues and systems projects.
  • Responsible for UAT and test environments and ensuring users adhere to best practice release policy. This includes sign off on releases, creating of test plans, Disaster recover impact etc.
  • New user training on applications as required. Note: this will be supplemented by vendor training. 

     

Who we are looking for
The candidate will have minimum 5-7 years+ experience in financial markets specifically building and supporting front, middle and back office systems in a Private Equity, Hedge Fund or Fund of Hedge Fund environment.This should include trading, decision support and shadow accounting systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years hands on experience to at least two of the following:

  • CRD (or other front office modelling and OMS solutions). FIX connectivity.
  • Webfolio (or other FoHF system).
  • Netage (or other Private Equity systems)
    One of :
  • Performance systems
  • Risk systems
    It is assumed that candidates will have an excellent understanding of investment management data and the investment management order lifecycle.

    Furthermore experienced in managing projects using a structured lifecycle methodology and Experience of MS project (or similar)
  • Basic SQL 
  • Data interface development experience (VB/VB script, perl etc) desirable but not essential.
