Malaysian based role working with multiple local teams & liaising with senior management in London. Excellent role for a proven Project Manager who truly grasps the concept of multi tasking.

Leading and highly successful investment banking group specialising in commercial opportunities created through "green" investments in emerging markets seeks a highly effective Project Manager to manage a new project in Malaysia.

With a significant portfolio of assets under management, this investment opportunity focuses primarily on converting palm oil waste into organic fertilizer and averting the creation of methane via aerobic decomposition of the waste. The technology has been successfully tested, key development partners have been identified within Kuala Lumpur (KL) and Sabah and the project manager/engineer will control, monitor and represent the London based organisation and it's interests on a day to day basis.

It is preferable that the prospective incumbent has the flexibility to work on-site a few days a week, vetting various palm oil plantations throughout Malaysia. The technology is exciting and cutting edge while the opportunity offers variety and the opportunity to utilise a multi tasking capability.

Key responsibilities and criteria include:

- Co-ordinating various parties inlcuding the civil, mechanical and production engineers designing and installing the plant at each mill, managers of each palm oil mill, those working for the investment vehicle in KL and liaising extensively with the senior management team in London

- Dealing with various sub contractors

- Handling the industrial process management - knowledge within the palm oil industry advantageous

- Ability to develop new large scale projects in emerging markets, ideally within the Aisan region

 - Managing the budget, looking after cost control and interpreting high level financial reports

- Working with cash flow models for project management purposes

- Outstanding communication skills in English. A local Chinese dialect will be highly regarded as will any working expereince in the Malaysian market

At the outset, a 2 year contract is anticipated with the possibility of becoming a more permanent role.

If you meet the above listed criteria and are in a position to relocate reasonably quickly, please contact Sarah Hutton on the details listed below.
