• will know all about FX and MM deals, and be responsible for the timely and correct processing of these financial transactions within your own area of responsibility, and to create sufficient product knowledge;

Organisational context

Financial Markets is part of the division Operations & IT Banking, based in Amsterdam south east.

The Back Office Operations Foreign Exchange / Money Markets (FX/MM) department is responsible for the handling of money and currency transactions made between ING bank and its other parties (commercial banks, corporates and ING offices).

The department is divided into 3 units:

• Confirmation matching
• Clients
• Non Deliverable Forwards.

The following types of transactions are processed in the back office: Foreign Exchange (FX Spot, Forward, Swap), Loans and Deposits and Non Deliverable Forwards. The Back Office adequate handling of transactions, confirmations and payments.

We are a globally operating department, servicing various front offices all over the world from 08.30 a.m. to 24.00 p.m. Therefore, knowledge of the English language is a prerequisite, and French an advantage.

Knowledge and skills

 You:

• have a higher vocational education working and intellectual level;
• have at least 2 years banking experience within FX/MM;
• knowledge of Non Deliverable Forwards;
• have good people skills, needed for contacts with various parties;
• have mastery of the English language (official language is English); knowledge of the French language is an advantage.
