Analyst Programmer, VB6, ASP, VB.NET, ASP.NET, VBScript, XML,XSLT, Access, Excel, MS SQL Server/Sybase, Investment Banking.

The successful candidate will join the team within a major Investment Bank, which performs a Rapid Applications Development role within the Post Trade IT area. The role will principally involve both the enhancement, development and production support of in-house tactical solutions in line with business needs.

The role would suit a candidate who enjoys a mix of development and support work and who also enjoys day-to-day interaction with various business and technical communities.

Responsibilities will include participation in project planning and control by providing estimates and status reporting, capturing requirements, analysis, design, coding, unit and system testing and documentation in accordance with team standards, whilst providing production support and answering application queries from users.

Further to this you will also be expected to provide feed-back on existing procedures and practices within the team reporting problems and suggesting improvements to the team leader, whilst providing out of hours support when required.

You will be expected to have a strong knoweldge of Microsoft technologies, including some older technologies, including VB6, ASP, VB.NET, ASP.NET, VBScript, XML,XSLT, Access, Excel and MS SQL Server/Sybase.
