This position will be at Vice President/Executive Director level and based in the Market Risk Department. (MRD) Job responsibilities include: • Analyse daily Value at Risk (VaR) across multiple FSA legal entities • Review and analyse daily standardised specific risk capital for those positions that do not receive specific risk treatment through VaR • Work with Business Unit risk management to optimise capital usage • Review transactions and assess capital impact upon Business Unit requests • Liaise with Market Risk Controllers and data quality working groups to ensure clean and complete risk data representation • Liaise with Risk Monitors to identify and resolve risk issues that impact VaR and capital • Represent MRD at cross-functional working groups • Engage in extensive Project Work Skills Required • The ideal candidate will advance in a role involving extensive market risk analysis and capital reporting, which requires an understanding of traded products, an appreciation of market risk methodologies and the underlying data challenges • Candidates should have a strong desire to learn and the ability to excel in a dynamic and stimulating work environment • The ideal candidate should have a solid education in quantitative and analytical disciplines, with strong problem-solving skills • Qualified candidates should possess prior experience in either market risk management or a market-risk-related function such as regulatory controllers, product controllers, or risk consulting • Fluency in FSA regulatory rules and a familiarity with fixed income, equity, and other traded securities and their greek representations are required • Good writing and oral presentation skills are desired • An understanding of risk management concepts such as VaR (Value-at-Risk), stress tests, scenario analysis, and the risk representation of options portfolios will be helpful • Additionally, because nearly all projects require cross-group coordination and cooperation candidates would benefit from prior project management experience • The candidate should have some experience with a programming language such as Visual Basic. The preferred candidate would also have familiarity with databases and SQL queries, however this can be learned on the job. Training in computer science, engineering and other technical fields is considered a plus • The preferred candidate for this position should hold a degree in an economics, finance, science or engineering field
