SG's Structuring desk is looking for a 6 to 11 months intern with strong IT & quantitative skills. The candidate will be assisting structurers in the automation of various workflows, essential for pricing and optimization.

Summary

  • SG’s Structuring desk is looking for a 6 to 11 months intern with strong IT & quantitative skills.
  • The candidate will be assisting structurers in the automation of various workflows, essential for pricing and optimization.

Main responsibilities
  • Performing a detailed analysis of the risks for the client in the context of Structured Finance
  • Designing/Pricing customized hedging
  • Helping preparing client pitches strategies for the different types of financing structures
  • Liaising with the trading desk and the legal department
  • Optimizing the booking structure; take care about specific MO/BO process, and accounting constraints

  • The candidate is expected to quickly acquire a strong knowledge of the models and processes to be able to work independently

Internal & external contacts
  • Structurers / Traders (daily)
  • Rating agencies (occasionally)

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education

  • Top engineering school / tech university
  • Computer / quantitative background


Languages

  • Fluent in English
  • Second language a plus


Technical skills

  • Analytical and Technical skills, proficiency in pricing systems
  • Good understanding of main valuation models, main risk factors, and main orders of magnitude in risks


Location: London
Duration: 11 months
