With a transactional focus you will ensure that all corporate and strategic arrangements fulfil our obligations to both APRA and shareholders.

Strong prudential management has been a key to Macquarie's success over many years. The Risk Management Group is an independent, centralised unit responsible for assessing and monitoring risks across Macquarie. This includes market and liquidity risk, credit risk, compliance risk and operational risk. Risk Management Group personnel liaise closely with all operating areas to ensure risks are understood and properly managed.

As a Director in the Prudential team you will have the opportunity to gain broad exposure to the activities of all Macquarie's businesses and facilitate relationship building with business managers across the Group.

Regularly liaising with the Board, Executive Committee and senior Business Leaders across the Macquarie Group the key focus of this role is ensuring that new transactions, new businesses and corporate and strategic arrangements fulfil our obligations to APRA and shareholders.

Through rigorous analysis, you will work with the Prudential team to identify solutions on appropriate structures and strategies within the regulatory and internal risk management framework. You will also liaise with APRA on regulatory matters. This includes transactional matters as well as those of key strategic importance to the Group.

Applying keen commercial sense and sound judgement while focusing on the detail you will quickly learn to adapt a set of principles to a wide variety of circumstances.

With the gravitas earned through exposure to and accountability in a transactional environment you will have the ability to build relationships in a positive tension environment and to raise issues, influence and negotiate between both internal and external parties.

Superior communication skills and the ability to think critically and conceptualise abstract ideas will be essential to success.
