The Bank is the largest subsidiary of an umbrella group, and activities range from Retail Banking through to Investments, Corporate Banking through to Fund Management. The Bank, headquartered in Dubai, aims to rapidly expand into international markets and become one of the largest Middle Eastern banking and financial services groups renowned for its uniquely modern approach and product offering.

We are seeking an outstanding individual to act as the Bank’s CFO, reporting directly to the CFO and CEO of the umbrella group. You will be the focal point of contact for all financial divisions of the Bank and will have in excess of 20 direct reports at SVP and Director level.

You will have 15+ years of demonstrable experience with quality time spent as the CFO of a recognized and international banking organization. You will have managed large teams, and led innovative financial campaigns to be resounding successes in your field. Management of MIS, budgetary control, excellent knowledge of financial systems and operations is a prerequisite to success. Knowledge of Sharia’a compliant products and Islamic finance would be an advantage but is not mandatory. You will, from time to time liaise with the DFSA, and will have had experience in holding results briefings with industry analysts and the press. 

You should be a highly motivated self starter, willing to take a hands-on approach and a challenge, and come into the Bank to drive growth right from day one. You will operate to tight deadlines as required by the needs of the Bank. This is fast paced growth environment and 100% fluency in English is a prerequisite to selection. A western educated individual is preferred.

Decision making initiative and the ability to build effective and professional relationships with external parties and key members of other departments, the group CFO and CEO will be the key to your success in the role.

 Requirements:

• Minimum 15+ years hands-on experience, with quality experience as a CFO (or similar) within a recognised banking institution. 
• Demonstrable experience in driving growth and delivering outstanding results
• Proven track record of working in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Team Management, MIS and Budgetary control experience
• Excellent financial systems knowledge.
• FSA or DFSA experience
• Western Educated with either – CFA / CIMA / ACCA / MBA (Finance or Econ)
• Ability to communicate with senior external analysts / press & rating agencies at reporting periods.
• 100% fluency in English is a prerequisite to success.
