This team is responsible for Financial, Management and Regulatory reporting, Product Management, Operational processes, and Control. The other segment within UK Finance is the Finance Business Partners team who act as a link between Finance and the Front Office, preparing value added management information and advice to facilitate improved performance. The successful candidate will create and analyse data from the UK business to support senior managements understanding of the risks and health of the business, and improve the scalability and resilience of the operational model. Responsible for the regulatory reporting of the business, including Head office, FSA and Bank of England reporting. There are various shared service arrangements with the equivalent Finance team operating in the banks offshore offices. Some of the accountabilities for this role will have a regional responsibility that may require some travel to these. My clients main priorities over the next 12 to 18 months are: Overhauling the regulatory processes to provide better management support. Implementation and on-going responsibility for the Basel II changes to regulatory reporting, including maintaining the ICAAP document. Reduction in process and reporting complexity. Support the CFO and Financial Controller with the data for their reporting needs, and ad-hoc analysis and decision making support; Responsible for timely and accurate production of all regulatory returns to head office in Frankfurt, facilitating reporting to the Bundesbank. Working with a support staff of one; Review the production of daily regulatory reports; Responsible for Bank of England and FSA Basel II requirements to ensure compliance with the relevant regulations; Responsible for pro-active management of the banks capital and liquidity plans, providing senior management with decision making support regarding risks to business and current health of the balance sheet; Person / Experience Required Experience in a Banking Environment either through audit or directly. Good understanding of the FSA and Bank of England reporting requirements as applied to Banks. Good knowledge of BIPRU and GENPRU rules as applicable to banks. Highly PC literate in particular Excel, Word and Access Post qualification experience Basel 2 experience required, especially Pillars 1 & 2 Substantial involvement with the preparation of an ICAAP document.
