Our client is a public asset management company which provides growth and risk-managed investment strategies with offices around the globe including London and Tokyo. They are looking for a funds laywer with fluency in English, Manadarin and written and spoken Chinese to join their growing legal department in the Hong Kong office.

As a successful candidate you will ideally have:

- Funds and UCITS knowledge/experience

- Strong academic knowledge and understanding of general corporate and financial services  laws in Asia

- The ability to maintain confidentiality

- The ability to exercise excellent legal judgment balanced with business needs

Your responsibilities may include:

- Handling legal matters

- Provide general legal counsel to specific operating areas of the company

- Prepares legal contracts and documents, and reviews regulatory filings

- Provides general counsel to specific operating areas of the companies many offices

- Coordinate with compliance and marketing teams as required

- Interacts closely with all other functional groups (sales, client relations, compliance, marketing and operations in Asia Pacific

You may also have one to three years experience practicing as a lawyer within a law firm or financial services company, have a law degree and admission in a least one jurisdiction.
