This is one of the strongest debt advisory businesses in Europe, and the business continues to grow as conditions for capital raising become more challenging for European corporates and private investors. This team advises property companies, private equity houses and high net worth individuals (or just companies with a high level of property but where property is not their core business)on financing structures to maximise the benefit of the value locked up in their property portfolios). Much of the advisory work involves strategic and acquisition financing, op co/prop co structures and sale and leaseback; and types of financing include vanilla, CMBS and Islamic among others. Individuals applying should have a strong knowledge of the property sector, probably gained within the structured lending team of an investment bank or similar advisory environment. As a Manager/AD in this business, you should have a minimum of 4 years' transaction-related experience in a top tier institution.
