The Financial Accountant will be involved in the development of the reporting process as deemed necessary to adapt to different business and reporting requirements, with the primary focus being to provide support to the finance department with monthly and year-end, Group and Statutory reporting Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and other Group reporting requirements
• Preparation of year end Statutory accounts and Regulatory returns
• Providing support to management on the identification and implementation of relevant regulatory requirements.
• Maintaining, monitoring performance and accounting for a wide range of reinsurance transactions
• Assisting with planned IT related project work
• Assisting in the planning and forecasting process
• Assisting management in the preparation and completion of ad-hoc projects

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA), 3 years PQE
• Reinsurance experience is essential and in particular Life Reinsurance experience is highly desirable
• Ability to respond to and deliver on ad-hoc requests
• Motivated individual with excellent interpersonal/communication skills
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
