BGI is seeking a team leader who will be responsible for the daily oversight and management of the group’s projects and production-related activities.

The US Securities Lending Product Development team is primarily responsible for driving research and implementation activities associated with the revenue and product growth initiatives of the securities lending business. As the team leader for the group, this position is responsible for the daily oversight and management of the group’s projects and production-related activities. Additionally, the position is responsible for providing management and leadership to a team of business analysts and specialists, including providing ongoing personal and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful execution and delivery of strategic initiatives in support of securities lending revenue targets and business expansion efforts.
  • Leverage the diverse skillsets and strengths of the US Product Development team members in providing support for the launch of new lending funds and borrowers and ensuring “speed to market” in support of capturing maximum lending levels.
  • Collaborate internally to provide optimal and innovative investment solutions to satisfy client needs; provide analytics for transitions, client withdrawals, and fund collapses to maximize revenue and ensure minimal business disruption.
  • Contribute to successful technology deliverables in support of business expansion and revenue generating activities by providing business analysis skills, project management skills, and subject matter expertise.
  • Support compliance with industry regulations by engaging counterparty credit groups in responding to account and product inquiries.
  • Optimize the US Product Development team talent base through hiring and cultivating broad and diverse skillsets in order to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Motivate and influence team members to perform at the highest expected levels; actively develop staff (personally and professionally) by providing timely and constructive feedback, coaching, and learning opportunities.
  • Develop and manage key relationships across the global Securities Lending team and the broader BGI organization through active collaboration and partnership.

    Qualifications

  • 7-10 years experience in the financial services industry.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in people management/development and leadership.
  • Prior project management experience desired, certification preferred.
  • Quantitative aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience in simultaneously managing multiple deliverables and/or competing priorities.
  • Resourceful and proactive with the ability to effectively operate in a demanding team environment.
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
