To support our expansion into options and the Asian equity markets, our quantitative finance research firm, Quantlab Financial LLC, is seeking to fill the position of securities master developer within our back office group.

Quantlab is a dynamic, technology-oriented firm engaged in the development and operation of electronic trading systems for its proprietary hedge fund trading operation. Founded in 1998, Quantlab is responsible for a significant share of the daily volume traded in the global financial markets and represents an established presence in the high frequency electronic trading field.

To support our continued growth, we are seeking a Backoffice Securities Master Developer.

The team develops state-of-the-art systems in C# and SQL Server 2005 using Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2005, for handling large volumes of transactions in our accounting and back-office systems.

If you are a talented Backoffice Securities Master Developer who can write efficient SQL and implement (or optimize existing) database designs and write web services using C#, as well as some windows forms programming, Quantlab is a place that will provide you the opportunity to maximize your abilities and compensate you in a manner that reflects your contributions.

Essential requirements of this position include:

• Database design and development experience, preferably in SQL Server 2000/2005

• Strong skills in the .net programming environment (preferably C# or C++) and ASP.net is a plus

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related area

• Strong software engineering skills, such as knowledge of design patterns, test driven development and requirements gathering

• 2+ years of experience in the financial industry is required and developing databases for storing corporate actions, accounting data or back-office data would be a plus

Quantlab is located in Houston, Texas – a city recently recognized by Business Week (June 12, 2008) and Kiplinger.com (May 29, 2008) as a best city to “live, work and play”.

Quantlab offers a top-notch compensation package -- including an aggressive pay-for-performance bonus program, generous medical and paid time off benefits, relocation subsidies that may be “cashed-out” and an informal, small-company work environment.  So if you are tired of working at a place where the traders get paid - but the developers are treated as interchangeable parts - Quantlab wants to talk to you.   It’s easy to apply – simply submit your cover letter and resume
