Global Investment Systems vendor seeks your strong Project Management, Investment Systems, and complex, global implementation management and oversight experience for the position of Consulting Manager, based in NYC. **Please note, only applicants with Investment Management Systems experience within the financial services industry considered.

The Consulting Manager (CM) is responsible for managing project delivery and professional service relationships for assigned clients. This specific role will be tasked with a Tier 1 banking client, with responsibility for developing, maintaining and executing project plans under the PMO, working across organizational boundaries both functionally and geographically. With oversight coordinating multiple teams with various tasks for this major systems implementation, you must have a strong Project Leadership, Investment Systems implementation and global rollout experience. Roll less focused on relationship management, more on technical project leadership and management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Working with the sales and client support to provide subject matter expertise, assessments, proposals, estimates and contracts for professional service opportunities - Accurately track and forecast engagement revenues - Develop solid project plans and models for delivery, identifying skill set needs, risks, dependencies and mitigation strategies - Introduce and actively utilize our methodology and best practices - Actively participate and provide direction where needed in the operations analysis, requirements gathering and product implementations. - Proactively manage all ongoing engagement activities - Identify opportunities to deliver further solutions and contract further work with existing clients - Execute contracts and invoicing for engagements - Mentor and guide the consultants on the team Job Requirements: 5-6 years of services/solution consulting experience 3-5 years of project management and delivery management experience Experience managing engagement teams under various models (e.g. fixed price, T&M, deliverable based, etc.) including subcontractors; off-shore team management a plus Program management experience working with large clients (PMI certification a plus) Strong foundation in delivery best practices, methodology and tools Demonstrated ability in completing requirements analysis, solution design, project sizing, cost estimation, and writing proposals Ability to support and contribute to the sales process as a professional services expert Skill in articulating and presenting compelling value propositions for service offerings Demonstrated ability to problem solve creatively and quickly under pressure Demonstrated ability to manage within challenging client environments and situations Strong written and oral communication skills Additional Desired Skills: Knowledge of mutual fund or investment management industry preferred Working knowledge of investment accounting / portfolio valuations a plus Compensation: 120-150K base, 25-30% bonus Travel - 25%
