The company has enjoyed consistent growth and is a leading banking services provider in the United Kingdom. To support further development the company is seeking to add to its fund accounting team. The main task of the role is to oversee box management and unit pricing processes and to support the resolution of technical pricing issues. Other responsibilities include: • Supporting actions that will ensure the full and successful delivery of accurate prices when production issues arise • Ensure compliance with agreed policies on unit pricing, tax, box, operational risk, FSA • Developing the abilities of other team members through sharing specialist skills and knowledge • Oversee box data to ensure both timely and accurate • Understand key processes and controls that may impact on provision of daily pricing. • Improving process performance by identifying opportunities to reduce complexity in processes and procedures • Facilitate timely resolution of box and pricing issues that arise through daily controls • Oversee that daily fund pricing is signed off on time in accordance with deadlines and policy • Maintain and build upon investment knowledge and keeping track of latest developments in relation to pricing The successful candidate will possess and be able to demonstrate the following: • A thorough understanding of life and pension unit pricing and box management • A detailed understanding of products, fund structures, pricing basis, policy admin systems and procedures, together with accounting systems and processes • The ability to act decisively under pressure, being aware of the impact of ones on others • The ability to present financial data and solve complex pricing problems • Have experience of FSA regulations and solid relevant experience. A detailed knowledge of the regulatory environment as it applies to life and pensions linked business, together with a sound knowledge of control frameworks and risk management • Outstanding knowledge of cost sheets. • Understanding of investment markets as it applies to unit pricing. Application and interpretation of daily changes in market movements to fund pricing.
