We are currently seeking a Financial Risk Management a Associate/Senior Associate to join our Boston office.
Responsibilities for both positions: * Assist the financial services industry clients in assessing operational risks associated with executing, reporting, and transactional activity * Assess the internal controls process and advise clients on improvement * Help to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls and related processes * Provide high quality professional day-to-day management of client projects * Assist Partners and Senior Managers in the creation of proposals, business development, and practice administration
Additional responsibilities for Senior Associate: * Supervise Associates and Interns on engagements * Serve as a liaison between clients and upper management * Identify and communicate technical matters to both clients and upper management * Serve as a mentor to Associates and new hires
Qualifications for both positions: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university * Two years of related work experience * Industry experience in asset management and/or hedge funds working with a financial services organization * Demonstrated ability to work with trade reconciliation, position valuation, profit and loss analysis, reporting and fulfilling month-end accounting and reporting requirements * Skills in assessing processes and controls, and developing realizable enhancement recommendations * Demonstrated ability with S-O 404 and internal controls * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio * Able to work on-site at the client premises approximately 80-100 percent of the time * Able to work independently, as well as, part of a team * Able to effectively work with various levels, including Senior Management
Additional qualifications for Senior Associate: * Four years of related work experience * Demonstrated supervisory experience * Well established understanding of business dynamics and operations
